History Of Bihar

Bihar is a famous historical state located in the eastern part of India and its capital is Patna. The name Bihar originated from the word Vihara, the place of residence of Buddhist monks, which is addressed in its Apabhramsa form Bihar instead of Vihara.

Bihar is currently the 13th state in India in terms of area. With the separation of Odisha in 1936 AD and Jharkhand in 2000 AD, Bihar has progressed on the basis of agriculture and its intellect.
