Each constituency brings together urban, semi-urban, and rural populations, with issues ranging from agriculture and employment to education, infrastructure, and caste representation.

Overall, the 2020 election in Siwan reflected staunch competition between RJD, BJP, Congress, and CPI(ML), highlighting the shifting loyalties and caste influences that shape the region.
With the Election Commission confirming phase-wise voting dates for 2025 (November 6 and 11, counting on November 14), Siwan’s assembly constituencies will be a focal point for both the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).
Key local issues—roads, irrigation, economic development, and the impact of migration—are expected to dominate campaign agendas. Several 2020 winners, notably Awadh Bihari Chaudhary (RJD, Siwan) and CPI(ML) leaders, are likely to defend their seats, while BJP and Congress prepare for spirited contests in urban and semi-urban pockets.
Siwan district’s eight assembly constituencies serve as microcosms of Bihar’s larger electoral dynamics. The 2025 election promises another competitive round, with 2020 results providing both lessons and momentum for candidates and parties vying for victory.
