Eye-Catching House in Bihar
Rajkumar Mandal’s family designed a one-of-a-kind house featuring a Mahindra Scorpio car on the rooftop. Inspired by their love for the Scorpio, the project took three months to complete and cost around ₹3 lakh.
Though time rushes on, a passion can keep your heart young — and Rajkumar Mandal’s family from Ghogha in Bhagalpur district, Bihar, is living proof. Their home stands out so vividly that it stops traffic, with visitors pausing to admire and photograph it.
While others chase after cars or horses, the Mandals chose to pour their passion into creating a truly unique home. Curious about what makes it so special?
A Distinctive House Design
Roughly 25 kilometres from the city, en route to Kahalgaon, lies a house near Ghogha that’s sure to make anyone hit the brakes. Its stunning rooftop design catches the eye from afar, and under the bright blue sky, its beauty becomes even more mesmerizing.
Rajkumar Mandal and his son, Suman Kumar, have turned their rooftop into a spectacle by building a life-like Scorpio. Using real car parts, they achieved a near-perfect replica that, especially at night, looks almost indistinguishable from an actual vehicle. The glow of the headlights and taillights makes the creation even more captivating.
Suman recounted that while their house was under construction, the family purchased a Mahindra Scorpio — an experience that inspired him to create a lasting tribute. Their home now proudly features a rooftop replica of the car, complete with the original number plate, making it a permanent part of their memories.
In an interview, Suman mentioned that the project took around three months and cost approximately ₹3 lakh. He worked hand-in-hand with a mechanic, carefully troubleshooting any problems to ensure every aspect was spot on.
