The auspicious Sharadiya Navratri has commenced today. In Siwan, statues of Goddess Durga are being installed at various locations. Kalash installation ceremonies were conducted in Durga temples and pandals with Vedic chants.

Throughout the city, numerous attractive pandals are being set up. This year, a pandal replicating the Prem Mandir in Mathura is being erected at the Lalit Bus Stand in Siwan. Since 2003, a statue of Goddess Durga has been consecrated at the Lalit Bus Stand. Each year, captivating pandals are constructed in the likeness of different temples.

This year, a pandal resembling the Radha-Krishna Love Temple in Mathura’s Vrindavan is being constructed. Approximately 15 artisans have been working day and night to create this pandal. All the artisans have come from Kolkata, West Bengal. They have been diligently working here for the past one and a half months. About 60% of the pandal construction work is already complete. Chandrashekhar, a member of the Sadbhavna Puja Committee, mentioned that the construction of this pandal will cost around 25 lakhs.

Since 2003, a cultural program featuring renowned Bhojpuri artists has been organized here every year. Artists like Manoj Tiwari, Devi, Guddu Rangila, and Radhe Shyam Rasiya have graced the occasion with their performances. However, due to the increasing crowd of people, the cultural program was discontinued from the year 2019. Subsequently, cultural events were halted from the following year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
